On Valentine's Day 2003, our Dad suffered a fatal heart attack aged 48. He had no history of heart disease and was in seemingly good health. His death devastated our family. As his three daughters - aged 22, 20 and 18 - it left a huge void in our lives, but his life and love guided us through those darker, difficult times.
We are keen to do all we can to help prevent another family losing a loved one to a heart condition and experiencing the grief and pain it causes.
Dad would be proud of the strong women we have become - and we want to put this strength to good use for the British Heart Foundation. We are excited to join the MyMarathon campaign.
Emma-Kate will be racing Ironman Texas in May, so will complete her marathon on race day, May 14. Helen and Susie will complete their marathons over two weekends in May at home in Swindon, UK, their final miles coinciding with EK's race - so that we are all running/suffering together!
Please join us in our fundraising efforts and raise money for a charity so close to our hearts.
